The sand was absolutely soaking wet when I collected it so not a great start. Also the sand was so coarse I found it difficult to get a smooth finish with my pointing tool, even when adding more water. It would probably be okay for laying and pointing paving slabs but in my DIY opinion, not for brickwork.
